A reply to the frivolous thinkers in the present year

 

Battles among the nation's were not enough, when an individual has to fight within a nation, the place the person respects, dedicates life and gives tremendous efforts to make the country stand on the world podium. An individual studies day and night and starts working for the well-being of the nation and the people around. Some become police persons, engineers, sanitation workers and doctors.

It is not far behind when each and every medical professional served the fellow beings during the constantly spreading pandemic. They spent 24 hours treating the patients. All the people came together to help their neighbors despite the level of contagiousness of the virus. So, why are we silent now when one such professional lost life while serving the patients.

Doctor Moumita lost her life. She struggled each moment to fight back. She delivered her best for her patients to get a brutal end of her life. Was her destiny so cruel to her or the people who made her die? In India girls are respected as mothers. Where our veteran, male prime minister does not allow a young female to touch his feet in respect. How does a group of such frivolous people treat a learned female doctor mercilessly? Two words, "STOP NOW."

The world is advancing technologically. Androids, tablets, Chat GPT, Gemini, Generative AI, and multiple softwares to enhance the regular tasks. But where is the place of a human? Do the people especially the earlier generation females treat the young girls as a machine? They treat them as objects or furniture items. Washing machine, refrigerator, table, chair, and a young girl, there is no difference between them. 

The people who pulled her to such a devastating end, were they humans? Did they have heart in their bodies, or was it also turned into a machine? Do they have families, female members, and mother's? Do they objectify them as well? Lots of questions are hovering in my mind. More than 64 percent of rape cases remain unnoticed. The percentage of reported sexual disrespect was closely 5.3 in 2018 , 4.8 in 2019,  and more than 500 cases reported in India till this month of 2024. 

These unethical activities are not bound to the illiterate members in our surroundings. Rather literate individuals indulge in these brutal behaviors more. Leaders or we should say guardians of our society, as we treat our parents at home, the same way we treat our leaders. They have witnessed the fact many times or even dealt with such incidents gravely. Where are their concerns for society now? Why are they not taking prosecutorial decisions for such evil sexual assaults? 

It is true that the constitution provides equal opportunities for every individual in the nation to grow and achieve success but where is the limit line to defer such actions? A legal, ethical and condemning action must be taken as early as possible to confine them. This will eradicate the thoughtless ideas and misconceptions of the society towards women and girls. This way, not now and never in the future would anyone dare to have such rubbish in their minds and character. 

Each member of the country must come forward and contribute to turn the coin of the society where the discrimination of gender aloof females at homes, offices, roads, shopping malls, trains, buses, autorickshaw, and other crowded areas. Let us fight back together for the mothers of our next generation. This way we could ornate our society with the heritage, ethical education and modesty.
